Travel Time

Whew!  What a whirlwind getting to this point.  A trip we planned almost 2 years ago has finally begun.  But the last month has been rather busy, as you can imagine, and this past week has been even busier.  But we made it, and here we are, sitting at the airport in Toronto, ready to fly to...Buenos Aires!

So our journey is a flight from here to Santiago, Chile, then the same plane over to Buenos Aires, Argentina.  We're in Buenos Aires for 4 days, then boarding a ship to sail around Cape Horn and back to Santiago for a couple of days, then home on the morning of January 24th.

I wasn't sure whether or not I was going to do a blog, but I'll give it a try.  Access on the ship will be limited, so it might not be a daily one.

We were picked up at home at 7 pm in a stretch limo and drove down to Cambridge to pick up our friends, Dan & Joanne Clements.  We then had champagne on the way to the airport, and we're currently sitting in the lounge, having some nibblies and wine.  Kinda tired though and our flight doesn't leave until 12:30 am (45 minutes late).  The down side of travelling.

So the next report (and photos) will be from down there in the southern hemisphere.
